Basic principles for chronic peritoneal dialysis prescription

Abstract

La diálisis peritoneal, como tratamiento sustitutivo de la función renal, se basa en la instilación dentro de la cavidad peritoneal de soluciones de diálisis con el objeto de aprovechar algunas de las propiedades del peritoneo como membrana biológica, con el fin de eliminar las sustancias de desecho generadas diariamente por nuestro organismo y contribuir entre otros con el control del balance hidrosalino alterado en la insuficiencia renal.
